About us
Nisha Organics was founded in 2007 to promote and supply quality organic and herbal products. Our goal is to raise awareness, effectively support a healthier lifestyle and provide money-saving alternatives that generate positive results.
Nisha Organics is an exclusive supplier of natural herbal supplements manufactured by Sanjivni Health Care . Imported directly from India, these herbal supplements are safe and effective. In studies throughout the world, they have been proven to benefit sufferers of major health problems that include diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma and arthritis. Our ultimate aim is to make consumers aware of the potential therapeutic benefits and cost-saving opportunities of these supplements.
An additional focus has been on developing a system of targeting commercial and residential markets to start the use of organic products. Nisha Organics also works with Kittu Exports, a group of farmers who have joined together in organic farming. The majority of the land in the Himachal Pardesh region is mainly hilly, with few dangerous chemicals present in the ground. In recent years, the farmers were finding it tough to maintain the fertility of the soil without facing an increase in the cost of farming. The concept of organic farming was introduced here in 1998 to increase the harvest from natural resources. Meetings are held to educate farmers on the technical details of organic farming and to supply them with literature and other support materials detailing the procedures of organic farming. When a farmer wishes to join the project, all of his land is verified by the authorities. The presence of cattle on the farm, the irrigation system, the ability to separate organic crops from other crops, and the mentality of farmer are just some of the aspects which are analyzed. If the project manager is fully satisfied with the qualifications of the farm and farmer, an agreement is made for certified organic production with the following requirements:
- No synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, irradiation, sewage sludge or genetic engineering may have been used for the previous three years.
- Farmers use beneficial insects that are natural predators to pests. Soil is improved through the use of organic compost, crop rotation and the mechanical or manual pulling of weeds.
- Soil erosion must be minimized, ensuring the retention of soil nutrients and the absence of contamination from toxic pesticides that can remain.
The organic production is supervised to ensure compliance with international standards. Harvesting and post-harvesting operations are kept separate to avoid any mixing of organic with non-organic crops.
The project is certified by ECO CERT SA, Germany. Its Indian office at Aurangabad ensures full compliance with EEC Regulations 2092/91. |
